P Mark Mustard Oil distributed ration packets to distressed families in Odisha

In view of the unprecedented COVID -19 pandemic and its impact on people from economically backward segments, Puri Oil Mills Limited has come forward to lend a helping hand to some of these unfortunate people and their distressed families by distributing ration packets to 500 poor families.

In view of the unprecedented COVID -19 pandemic and its impact on people from economically backward segments, Puri Oil Mills Limited has come forward to lend a helping hand to some of these unfortunate people and their distressed families. As a humanitarian outreach, the company has distributed ration packets to 500 poor families. As part of its corporate social responsibility, the Company reached out to their

fellow citizens to contribute towards their welfare. Each ration packet weighed 5.1 kg and contained P Mark Mustard Oil, Rice, Pulses (Uradh Dal and Chana Dal), Salt and Turmeric (Haldi).


Mr Vipan Gupta, CFO of Puri Oil Mills Limited said: "In this hour of need, we would like to dedicate some of our resources to this social commitment to help needy and distressed families. We are aware of the staggering magnitude of the pandemic and are glad that we can do our bit to take care of our local communities as a mark of our gratitude for their faith in us.”


Mr Sunil Sinha, spokesperson of Odisha unit of Puri Oil Mills said: “We were aware of the extreme hardships that people were facing because of the lockdown, hence we reached out to them by distributing P Mark Mustard Oil along with ration packs to these distressed families and we decided we had to help in some way – no matter how small it was.”
