Chickpea Paneer Bowl

For World Protein Day, we’ve got the perfect vegetarian recipe to get your protein on — a wholesome, flavour-packed Chickpea Paneer Bowl, straight from the kitchen of our expert, Nikunj. It’s hearty, high-protein, and brought together beautifully with bold mustard oil and a creamy garlic yogurt dressing. Let’s build this bowl.


Ingredients for Chickpea Paneer Bowl

🧆 For the Chickpeas

  • Chickpeas – 1 cup, boiled

  • P Mark Kachi Ghani Mustard Oil – 1 tbsp

  • Salt – To taste

  • Black pepper – To taste

  • Kashmiri chilli powder – 1 tsp

  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp

  • Jeera powder – ½ tsp

  • Lemon juice – As required

🧀 For the Paneer

  • Paneer – 200 g, cut into a thick block or large cubes

  • P Mark Kachi Ghani Mustard Oil – 1 tbsp

  • Salt – To taste

  • Black pepper – To taste

  • Kashmiri chilli powder – 1 tsp

  • Turmeric powder – ¼ tsp

  • Jeera powder – ½ tsp

  • Lemon juice – As required

🥄 For the Dressing

  • Yoghurt – ½ cup

  • Lemon juice – From ½ lemon

  • Garlic cloves – 3, finely crushed

  • Salt – To taste

  • Black pepper – To taste

  • Honey – 1 tsp

Method for Chickpea Paneer Bowl

  1. Take your boiled chickpeas and toss them in P Mark Kachi Ghani Mustard Oil. Add salt, pepper, Kashmiri chilli powder, turmeric, jeera powder, and a squeeze of lemon. Mix until well coated.

  2. Air fry at 180°C for 12–15 minutes until golden and crisp. They should smell nutty and feel lightly crunchy on the outside.

  3. Drizzle mustard oil over the paneer and gently rub in the spices. Add a squeeze of lemon and let it rest for 5 minutes to soak in the flavours.

  4. Heat a pan on medium. Toast the paneer on both sides until lightly charred and golden. The edges should crisp up while the inside stays soft and creamy.

  5. Mix yoghurt, lemon juice, crushed garlic, salt, pepper, and honey in a bowl. Stir until smooth and creamy. Adjust seasoning if needed.

  6. Layer fresh veggies of your choice in a bowl. Add the crispy chickpeas and charred paneer on top. Drizzle generously with the garlic yoghurt dressing.

  7. Your Chickpea paneer bowl is ready!
