Every year, International Yoga Day reminds us that wellness is not just about perfect poses and deep stretches. It is about the small rituals that help us feel balanced, nourished, and cared for throughout the day. This year, while everyone else was busy celebrating Yoga Day, I was quietly doing what I do best, being a part of wellness in every corner of the day. Here's a little peek into how I spent Yoga Day.

6:00 AM – Starting with Oil Pulling
The day began with a simple wellness ritual: oil pulling.A gentle swish, a few mindful moments, and a refreshing start to the morning. Sometimes self-care doesn't need to be complicated. The smallest habits often make the biggest difference.
7:00 AM – Cheering on Surya Namaskar
While the yoga mats rolled out and the stretches began, I took my place as the supportive sidekick. After all, every wellness journey deserves a good cheerleader. As people flowed through their Surya Namaskars, I enjoyed my front-row seat to the action.

9:00 AM – Fueling a Healthy Breakfast
Yoga may energise the body, but good food keeps it going. As breakfast preparations began, I stepped into the kitchen to help create a wholesome, nourishing meal. Because wellness isn't just about movement—it's also about what we put on our plates.
10:30 AM – Hair Care Ritual
After a healthy breakfast, I found myself at the heart of a nourishing hair massage. A warm champi, a few peaceful moments, and a little self-care before sunrise. Healthy hair, a relaxed mind, and a calm start to the day? That's a combination I can always get behind.
1:00 PM – Aromatherapy & Relaxation
Afternoons are for slowing down.Surrounded by calming aromas and peaceful moments, I joined an aromatherapy session that reminded everyone that wellness is also about rest, relaxation, and taking time to reset.
2:00 PM – Pickle Duty
Not every wellness activity happens on a yoga mat. Some of us spent the afternoon soaking up the sunshine while helping spices and flavours come together for a delicious homemade achaar. Patience, balance, and care—sounds a lot like yoga, doesn't it?
5:00 PM – Post-Yoga Self-Care
A day of stretching can sometimes leave muscles feeling a little tired. That's when a warm mustard oil massage becomes the perfect self-care ritual. Relaxing muscles, easing tension, and helping the body unwind after an active day—it was one of my favourite moments of Yoga Day.
6:00 PM – Snack O'Clock
No Yoga Day is complete without a little evening energy boost. Whether it was roasted makhanas, vegetable cutlets, or a wholesome chilla, I was there making snack time both delicious and satisfying because healthy choices should never feel boring.
8:00 PM – Dinner Time
The day wound down with a comforting, home-cooked dinner. From seasonal vegetables to warm rotis and nourishing dals, I helped bring the meal together. Ending the day with wholesome food is one of the simplest forms of self-care.
10:00 PM – Winding Down
The day ended the same way it began—with care. A warm mustard oil foot massage helped tired feet relax after a long day. It was the perfect way to slow down, promote comfort, and prepare for a restful night's sleep.
Some Celebrated Yoga Day. I Powered It.
From morning wellness rituals to nourishing meals, self-care massages, and peaceful nighttime routines, Yoga Day wasn't just about an hour of exercise. It was about embracing wellness throughout the day. And while everyone celebrated Yoga Day, I was proud to be there - supporting every mindful moment, every healthy habit, and every step of the journey. Some celebrated Yoga Day. I powered it.
