This week, we are spotlighting one of the participants of Homechef Season 2, fooditude3 and sharing her recipe for Sooji Balls with you. It is a quick and easy recipe to help with your snack cravings.

Sooji Balls can be served with your favourite chutney or dip. You can stuff the balls with cheese for some extra flavour.

Ingredients for Sooji Balls

  • P Mark Kachi Ghani Mustard oil: 3 tbsp

  • Sooji: 1 cup

  • Onion: 1 (chopped)

  • Capsicum: 1/2 (chopped)

  • Oregano: 1 tsp

  • Chilli Flakes: 1 tsp

  • Coriander: Chopped

  • Salt: According to taste

Method for Sooji Balls

  1. Pour two glasses of water into a kadhai and bring to a boil.

  2. Add onion, capsicum, oregano, chili flakes, chopped coriander, and salt into the boiling water.

  3. Stir in the sooji until well mixed.

  4. Continue stirring until the mixture forms into dough.

  5. Allow the dough to cool, then shape it into balls.

  6. Heat P Mark Mustard Oil in a separate kadhai and bring it to a boil.

  7. Add the balls to the kadhai and fry them till they are crispy.

  8. Your Sooji balls are ready to be enjoyed, ideally served with some green chutney.
